2008 Summer Database of FUN

Think Databases have to be boring? Well, boy are you wrong!
Summer is here, and that means it is time for the database of fun: the summer's most comprehensive guide to outdoor events in Washington, DC. Inside, you'll find concerts, films, theater, fireworks, and almost all of it FREE.

Highlights of this year's spreadsheet:

Jazz and Sangria by the Fountain
- Summer doesn't get any more perfect: Fridays after work at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden.
Screen on the Green - Outdoor films on the Mall. Dates to be announced.
NSO on the Capitol Lawn - Hear the world-class National Symphony Orchestra play in front of the world-class view of the Capitol Dome. Sunday before Memorial Day, Labor Day, and on July 4.
Zoo Concerts - Picnic on the hill by the lions and the bat cave while enjoying live music. Thursdays after work.
Fireworks - Celebrate Fairfax, Alexandria Waterfront Festival, and Independence Day on the Mall.
1812 Overture - Real Cannons fire to Tchaikovsky's masterpiece while surrounded by the national monuments near the Sylvan Theater.
Fort Reno - Hear up-and-coming local rock bands play before a field of young adults. (If they can get that arsenic cleaned up and the park reopened)
